Sections: Six sections: M/X, A, B, C, D, E/Below/Unrated. Sections may be combined and prizes adjusted according to the rating distribution of final entries. Out-of-state players are welcome but are not eligible for state titles. See "Playing up" paragraph below for restrictions on playing up.

Schedule: Registration 8:30-9:00 A.M. EDT. Rounds 9:15, 12:15, 3:00, 6:00. One 1/2-point bye allowed in rounds 1-3; must be requested before round 2.

Fees: Entry fee: $60 by 8/13, $75 afterward, both $10 discount for ISCA members; $3 convenience fee if paying by credit card, not charged to ISCA members. Register at indianachess.org starting 7/18.

Prizes: Prizes ($1900 based on 50 entries): M/X $250, $200, X $175; A $150, $100; B $150, $100; C $150, $100; D $150, $100; E/Below $125, $75, Unrated $75. In sections A and below, there must be six or more players in a class to offer two prizes; there must be three unrated players to offer an unrated prize. All prizes will be paid electronically via PayPal.

Playing up: Players may request to play in a section higher than the lowest one for which their rating makes them eligible, but this request is not guaranteed to be granted and if granted incurs a $40 play-up fee. When requesting to play up, players must give supporting evidence as to why they should be permitted to do so, such as past or live ratings or USCF category norms earned. Organizers will also consider the number of players in a section when deciding whether to grant a request.

DGT Boards: The organizers may broadcast some games using DGT boards. These broadcasts will be on a 15-minute delay to deter cheating. By participating, players agree to play on a DGT board if assigned to it.
